​Daniel Hayden, is a North Carolina based clarinetist currently residing in Greensboro. As a Junior Clarinet Performance major at UNCG, he has become a very active member in the student body, and has been apart of groups such as; The UNCG Symphony Orchestra, UNCG Opera, UNCG Wind Ensemble, The Minerva Quintet, and the UNCG Sinfonia Orchestra, the US Army All American Marching Band, and many other ensembles. Daniel also serves as Vice President of Phi Mu Alpha’s Iota Epsilon Chapter. Other professional affiliations include the National Association for Music Education (Nafme) and the North Carolina Music Educators Association (NCMEA). Daniel is also a 2-time WGI WIO class silver medalist.
Outside of college, Daniel is very active as a freelance clarinetist and music educator in the Piedmont area. Along with teaching privately, Daniel has been involved with many marching bands in the Wake and Guilford areas. Teaching at 8 different school over the past year which have all won numerous high woodwind, first in class, and grand champion awards.
